Black Magick Matters™ Signature Emblem

Power does not begin with us.

It moves through us.

The Black Magick Matters Signature Emblem is built around that understanding: that the visible world is only part of the story, and that the strength we carry in the present is connected to memory, ancestry, spirit, and everything that survived long enough to reach us.

At the center of the emblem stands the raised Black fist—an unmistakable symbol of self-determination, resistance, dignity, and the refusal to surrender authority over who we are. But here, the fist carries another symbol above it: the top hat.

Traditionally associated with the threshold between the living and those who have crossed beyond it, the hat takes on a new meaning when placed upon the fist.

The gate has become the person.

The connection is no longer represented as something distant that must be approached from the outside. It is carried within. The living become the meeting place between what came before and what comes next.

The fist represents the power of the present.

The hat represents the presence of those beyond it.

Together they express one of the deepest ideas behind Black Magick Matters: You were never meant to draw power from yourself alone.

There are memories older than your own memory. Lessons carried through generations. Intuition you cannot always explain. Strength that appears precisely when you thought you had exhausted your own. Names, stories, sacrifices, warnings, dreams, and unfinished possibilities that continue to echo through those who remain.

To remember your source is to recognize that you did not arrive here empty-handed.

The emblem therefore speaks to connection rather than isolation. To becoming conscious of what stands behind you before deciding what you will build ahead of you. To understanding that spiritual power is not simply about controlling the world around you—it begins with learning how to listen, how to remember, and how to recognize the forces that shaped your arrival.

The surrounding principle,

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW

reinforces that relationship between seen and unseen, inner and outer, past and present, spirit and action.

Black Magick Matters is not confined to any single spiritual tradition. Its purpose is broader: to explore the systems of knowledge, symbolism, consciousness, ancestral memory, occult powers, and metaphysical thought that remind us there is more to human power than what can be measured on the surface.

This emblem is the signature expression of that philosophy.

The fist says: I have power.
The hat says: I did not arrive at that power alone.

And together they say:

Remember who stands with you. Reclaim what still lives through you.
